WE DID IT! Thanks to YOUR signatures, voices, and persistence, the San Diego City Council unanimously approved the Comprehensive Speed Management Plan on March 16, 2026. And here's what we've been fighting for: La Jolla Boulevard between Pacific Beach and Bird Rock is OFFICIALLY on the list as a designated safety corridor! What started out as a local cause became a city-wide campaign. The plan will lower speed limits on nearly 680 miles of San Diego streets—about 20% of our entire city road network. School zones can now go as low as 15 mph, business districts to 25 mph, and safety corridors will see 5 mph reductions. This victory belongs to every single person who signed, shared, and spoke up.
